#27: satan, not today!

Say that out loud today 👉🏼 SATAN, NOT TODAY!

John 10:10 (TPT) 10 A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter,[a] and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance,[b] more than you expect[c]—life in its fullness until you overflow!

The enemy has 1 thing and only 1 mission in life for us here on earth - it comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). How? By stealing your joy and bringing you deep into depression. By killing whatever dreams that God has put inside your heart with fear and doubt. By destroying relationships with unforgiveness, bitterness, and anger. It uses all this so that our lives here on earth will be miserable.

But that was never what God has in mind for us. He has come to give us everything in abundance, more than what we could expect - life in fullness until we overflow (John 10:10) - This is what God has intended for us.

So why are we allowing ourselves to settle for less and worst still; allowing the enemy to have the final say in our lives?

I know the year has been hard for many of us and myself included. Honestly, 2021 is so much harder than 2020 but that doesn't have to be our story. We can still end this year victoriously because we have an ACCESS to God as His sons and daughters.

ACCESS

Access is a means or opportunity to enter a place or approach someone. And that's exactly what we have as children of God. We have direct access to God to ask Him for a life full of abundance. For healing, for an overturn of events, for a change of hearts, for financial breakthrough, for Him to pave our ways according to the greatness He has deposited in us and so much more.

The greatest thing about this access to God is that it shows us that He loves us and will always love us. He removed that barrier called sin and gave His Son up so that we might live and have a relationship with Him. So that we can have this access to Him.

Access is to be treasured and not abused. Access is to be deemed worthy not having a lukewarm attitude towards it. Access is not to be regarded as "whatever" but with a "wow". God has given me and us this access out of His love for us. Treasure it and come to Him as often as you can. Doesn't matter what the issue or questions you have. Big or small. Stupid or brilliant. So long your heart is open, that's all that is needed.

What does this access looks like?

It looks like conversations with God

It looks like prayer to God

It looks like adoring Him in worship

It looks like opening your Bible and letting His words speak to You daily

and many more…

Whatever method/avenue/platform that brings you closer to God, that is an “access” to Him. Because you know what, the enemy can play with your mind but it can never play with your spirit - so through all these access, you are actually "BUILDING YOUR SPIRIT MAN"

Let's not live our lives defeated. Let's make God the first person we run to and not our last resort. Let's be strong and courageous and stand up against the enemy. Let's take comfort in Joshua 1:9 (AMP) that says "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated), for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

The Lord will be with you where ever you go so be strong and courageous. Don't be terrified or intimidated by what the enemy has stack up against you. Only be strong and courageous and let God bring you through this season and your next season. And your next. And your next. Till the very last breath you take; let God be your story.
